At the Wanger Family Fab Lab in Chicago where I work, we have a FANTASTIC set up for 3d scanning people and printing them from the shoulders up. This alone is CRAZY cool, but being the vain hacker perfectionist I am, I wanted MORE and I wanted ME.

This thingiverse thing will document my attempts to use a Microsoft Xbox Kinect in conjunction with ReconstructMe to print a Full body scale model of myself.

This is really more so I can keep track of my own project, but if you'd like a small copy of me (who wouldn't?), by all means download an STL and print it out! I'm trying to maintain 1/8th scale whenever possible, but this may not fit in some build envelopes

Fab Lab is spelled wrong.

He has a lab coat. We can trust him.

Is it? They keep going back and forth on this "two words or one issue". I AM TRUSTING YOUR JUDGMENT INTERNET COMMENTER.

I like it too! Standard issue labcoat.

He looks like John Cusack in "Say Anything." You should have scanned him holding a boom box over his head.

Where am I going to find a boombox in this day and age?

Print it in your Fab Lab!
