Description

Printed Paint roll to customize your tapestry.
This hacking project was made in collaboration with ADEO a group that owns many tool brands such as Dexter. We brainstormed as a team and came up with many funny ideas to hack products selected among a thick catalogue.

I got to work on printed accessories for standard 120mm paint rolls.

Instructions

For instructions, follow the steps.
Otherwise, follow your guts. SolidWorks 2010 file provided to customize text.

I'm intrigued as to how well this picks up and deposits the ink. Could it be improved by a thin coat of rubber? (plastidip etc?)

It works ok, but nothing like a silicone etch. I'll try to find some silicone paint to see if it can hold the ink better. One thing : it makes awesome patterns for pottery!

This would be an excelent candidate to be made into a customizer

Ok, Open Scad is really not intuitive for someone who isn't familiar to programing. Is there any other way to generate an .scad for the Makerbot Customizer? Thanks.

I really want to, but I really don't understand how OpenScad works. And I tried! Can I export the parametric codes from SolidWorks?
