I really liked the Many Coins Thing but I wanted to easily create my own icon choices, scale the coin, and add text. This is the result.
I really liked the Many Coins Thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37510), but I was disappointed to learn that I couldn't run the script on my Mac and I needed to install Perl, Inkscape, Ghostscript, and PsToEdit on my Windows machine. Also, some of the icons from the Noun Project aren't scaled nicely or centered. So once I had converted the .svg file I still need to fiddle with the parameters to get it to look okay. Customizer doesn't let you add .dxf files, but, fortunately, there is a plugin for Inkscape that lets you convert a .svg file into an OpenScad file ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25036 ).
I built up the code to support choices for several different icons, and I added some support for printing short text messages at the border of the coin faces. If you leave the text parameters blank, then the icon will increase in scale to fill the space. Unless you make the coin really big, the unsupported overhang shouldn't be a problem on the bottom side. On my printer, I was having trouble getting the text to come out if the font was under 5mm, not sure why, so I don't support font size adjustments currently.
I may still tinker with the centering and sizing of the icons, add more icons, or add more customization support as the mood hits me.
Also added a Makerbot icon taken from Customizable Sign ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40705 ) to the mix of available icons for the coin faces.
