This is a simple no non-sense design of USB cap with cable clip (3mm) suitable for use with smartphone USB charge cable. Best to use together with my Smartphone USB cable clip http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:49127

9/4/13 - Added a single cap-clip STL.

This STL is a 6-pack of my USB cap. I use 30% infill and 3 shell. It takes about 90 minutes to print using my Replicator.

It may feel a little loose when capping a USB A plug but if you wrap the cable using the clip, it's not going anywhere.

Please feel free to try and suggest how I can improve it.

hey, this is awesome!

could you create one for micro USB as well? :-D
really need one and can't figure out how to design it!

tried and work perfectly, except some wires are thicker. And I will make double sided slots so one piece is enough.

Thanks for the upload to the single cap

Great idea! I will see if I can rework it but the usb jack didn't fit snug in the connector. Is it snug for you or anyone who has printed it?

Try printing it with 4 perimeters.

It's pretty tight fit when printed on my Replicator and my Cubify. Your mileage may vary because the tolerance is pretty small.

I will try to shrink it a touch and see what happens. Printing on a PrintrBot Jr v2 over here.

Thanks for the comment. I got the filament from Makerbot store.

Nice design! Where did you get your filament at?
