Description

I have a unique RepStrap and the Brutstruder mounts included in the MakerGear Geared Stepper Plastruder are not really compatable with it so I borrowed the Brutstruder design and modified it suit my needs. I was not able to convert the Heeks CAD files to work with Pro/Engineer and ended up using my caliper to measure the one included in the kit so it's not an exact copy.

I updated the design to use the GrooveMount insulator and made it quick change so hot end swaps take less than a minute. I also designed an idler similar to the one Nophead designed for Wade's Geared Extruder.

*UPDATED*

Added ParaSolid and STEP files to download.

Instructions

Print, Mount, Enjoy!

This is awesome, could you upload these parts in IGES or ParaSolid format? I'm having trouble opening your Pro/E files.

I just uploaded ParaSolid files, please let me know if there are any problems with them.

Having just broken a hot end, I've been thinking along similar lines. That's a very nice print, what machine did you print it on?

Wade

Thanks Wade, I printed these on my RepStrap Icebot One, I built it up from an old CNC we were going to toss out at work. You can check out photos and a few videos on my Flickr! page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/m...

I agree with SpaceX nice upgrade. Also had problems getting files out of Heeks. Anyway you can put some STEP,or IGES out?

Good catch, I ususally do include STEP files, I'll create and upload them tomorrow morning.

Sweet upgrade, and the funny thing was Rick was wanting something with this fuctionality, never thought to do it that way...

Great JOB!
