Sega Genesis - STL Format by falken76 Feb 17, 2013

Description

Here is the Sega Genesis again. This time the original OBJ was brought into 3dsmax to add an optimize modifier to lower the polygon count. The file was then brought into makerware and saved as an .STL binary file.

Hi, It might I don't know. I used my Nextengine 3D scanner to scan a real sega genesis so the source was a real genesis. You would certainly need to modify the STL to make a shell, this isn't hollow. Someone has done a remix of this somewhere, they just used netfabb to slice the bottom flat when it prints, this one will be a pain to print as is.
Would love to find out if this could actually replace an original Genesis shell! Especially if I could modify the cartridge slot shape and make space for region and refresh rate switches.
remember where the original came from mate? im trying to find a clean mesh, this one is a bit tricky to fix up into pieces.

Hopefully this will work for people that don't have the makerbot printers.
