Description

convert an image into halftone using the gcode halftone converter!

Instructions

download the python file from my github github.com/mattvenn/cad/blob/master/tools/drillpic/drillpic.py

then have a look at the command line options before running to create your gcode.

The image here shows the kind of output to expect. The further you are away the cooler it looks!

It is very interesting. Is the Black printed by Dual-Color Extruder or is it a half circle hole that you fill in black paint?

yeah, sorry this isn't clear. It's a special sign making plastic which has a very thin top layer of one colour, and a base of a different colour. This is a white top with a black base. It gives a super crisp result. I know people who've done similar on painted wood and that can work too.
