Summary

Blind Farpointcon.com attendee, Courtney, can now see what she looks like through the use of 3d scanning and 3d printing technologies. Courney and her husband explained to me that blind people will usually touch someone's face to see what they look like, but it doesn't really work on themselves because of the feedback they get from their face. I was able to scan and print Courtney so she should see what she looked like for the very first time.

Again, really really cool Tod. :-)

I was thinking about this same idea, although I was thinking more along the lines of scanning / printing someone's children ( grandchildren, etc.) - so that they could have their own kind of 'picture' to feel / look at when they are gone.
