This was inspired by jamesstaylor's Linear Bearing:
thingiverse.com/thing:4311
Since I do not own Inventor, I could not open his files so that use some of his dimensions so I used my own dimensions and made some improvements of my own to the design.
I first removed two of the 6 bearings that I seen other people use on Thingiverse for their linear bearings. I did this change because it is still stable so it will not wobble and because it uses less parts.
Second, I made the linear bearings use 608 bearings because they are common and easy to obtain.
Third, I made rod that the bearing can be used on a M8 so people can use it on 3D printers like RepRaps.
Since I wanted to use it on M8 and have 608 bearings, I found that I did not have that much room to work with so I sank in the M8 nuts so that there was no interference. I decided not to remove the wall around the bolt because I did not want the bearings to hang and wobble.
Post in the comments if you want me to modify it so it uses a different bearing type or different rod size.
I also do not have a 3d printer so I could not test it out but send me pictures of it working and I will post it.
Todo:
Put washer between bolt and bearing wall
Make it adjustable to account for rod tolerance error
