coudln't agree more. these are merely for prototyping purposes and get the proportions right

from my experience wood is not strong enough ...it twists and not great in crash situation.I tried it but prefer anytime aluminium.

Laser Cut Hexacopter Frame using 1/8" Plywood

I need to test it when I have the chance but the assembly is straight forward, use m3 bolts for the entire body of the frame.
