Ramps Marlin Dual Extruder Fan Driver
Description
A small Mosfet driver to use the fan control of the servo 4 pin D4 if motherboard=34 in the Marlin firmware is selected. No further firmware modifications necessary.
The case is for mounting on a Mendelmax.
The case is for mounting on a Mendelmax.
Instructions
For the electronics:
Mosfet IRF540 (I know, this is a little overweight but I had this one spare)
10k resistor
330 ohms resistor
Optional for a feedback LED:
LED
2k2 resistor
Terminals, pinheads etc as you prefer
Solder as shown in the circuit diagram and plug in on the 12V-Aux port or an external supply (connect grounds of supply and controller together in this case) and the Servo 4 D4 pin. I used two crimping pins for this.
For the case I used 0.3mm layer height and 40% infill.
The holes are made for M3 screws and fitted perfectly. Maybe four screws would be better for the cap. The center hole in the cap is for a 5mm led. The holes in the lug are for M5 screws to mount on a Mendelmax.
