after getting frustrated with my spool falling off my bearing mount for the third time I figured it was time for a better system. There are several available for the mendelmax but the one i liked best was thing:21547. this is a derivative thing:21547 with some added bracing so it does not wobble or break off. The two braces are set at about a 60 degree overhang. I was able to print without any support material at .3 layer height and a .5 nozzle just beautifully.
