Summary

This thing is a special fan holder for the Ultimaker electronics pcb. It can take two standard 50 mm pc fans to provide a very good cooling for all the components of the pcb, especially the stepper drivers that can get very hot without appropriate cooling.

Instructions

The holder consists of two components. Print them together (there are already in one single STL file) out of ABS or PLA with a bit of infill (10 to 20 % is enough). The smaller component needs some support structure, so don't forget to enable support inside of your slicer. After the print is finished mount them together with four 10 mm inbus / hex screws. Then you can mount two 50 mm fans onto the holder and finally put the whole thing onto your Ultimaker electronics. The existing screws can be used for that.

Please give me some feedback of how it works for you and take a picture of your assembly.

Hi, any pics please ?

I don't have a pic so far as I still use the wooden prototype that was the basis for this design. This thing here has some improvements and of course just looks more professional than wood, so it wouldn't make any sense if I post a photo from my wooden pcb cooler. So just go ahead and print this out. It will work perfectly. ;-)
