Description

This is a tutorial on scanning a little toy with the VirtuCube 3D-Scanner and the Software David Laserscanner 3.7

Tutorial: youtu.be/ZP8IP8WydAw

Instructions

VirtuCube 3D-Scanner: thingiverse.com/thing:52850

David Laserscanner 3.7: david-laserscanner.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5480

I just uploaded a low-poly version of the scan, because I do not own the copyright of this toy.

Re Copyright. See https://groups.google.com/d/ms... and the linked document.

It would be interesting whether a toy is "useful article" or "artistic work". I would imagine it is a useful article given it is sold presumably to play with, rather than sit in a display case.

We need to stop thinking copyright (as perceived for written works and music/film) applies in the real world, otherwise corporatism will try it on and ask for more laws and remove out existing rights. I can see it coming.
