This is a Scythe from Planetside 2 modeled in 3dsmax and converted to .STL Then repaired in netfabb basic. I know how to orient the items now. Please share any pictures if you print this.

I found a couple inconsistencies within your model, I'll go into further detail later but firstly, the model for the bottom piece is slightly rotated to the side, requiring unnecessary support to be printed. Also, did you just grab the model of the vehicle from somewhere else and split it in half? Because it looks like you did as the bottom of both models are a bit weird - you will know what I mean if you look at it using the Makerbot desktop software or something similar (can't see it in thingiview). I also highly doubt you modelled the cockpit inside - it looks like the model has been ripped from the game and crudely cut in half.
Please address these problems and fix your model before asking anyone to print this. My friend plays Planetside 2 and he would really like a model of the Scythe for some reason... Hopefully you can fix the files and re-upload them at one point. Cheers.

I had no idea what I was doing when I made this. They're a bunch of parts that are not even booleaned together, all kinds of self intersecting going on there. It was just cut in half in a rush because I did an original print with support and it took forever to print. I had a delrin plunger on my replicator 2 when this was made, that's how old it is. I no longer have the 3dsmax files because that system crashed and I didn't back anything up on it. The actual was terrible.

I've used a model ripper on a different game and if it was any indication, they're mostly going to be crap because most things are excellent textures on not so detailed models. None of them I've ripped were ever ready to print either. Planetside might have a ripper, there's one for WOW so I'd bet there's one for the SOE games also if there's one for Blizzard games.
