Instructions
This was modeled in Sketchup, easy and fast.
The Sketchup file on this page is a reference for the 'real' Univers Revolved, in that the letters retain internal cavities that would be invisible in a 3D print.
The STL file of the whole alphabet does NOT contain those voids, since it is intended for printing. Note that many of the letters have large overhangs, and will need to be printed with support material. I've skeinforged the file successfully with and without that option active, see the screenshots.
Hopefully I can make a few test prints next time I'm at NYCR to see how the support material works out.
Lastly, I will be adding STL files for individual letters over time, but I saw no reason to wait until A thru Z were done to release the whole alphabet.
Lastly, on the issue of licensing: I'm listing this as CC-Attribution(to Ji Lee, not to me!)-Non-Commercial-No Derivatives until Ji Lee tells me otherwise. You are explicitly welcome to print alphabets out and play with them and spread them around.
