Kinda looks like a Cylon taken in a different direction. I like it all except the mouth thing.
It does sadly resemble someone unpleasant from the 30s/40s.

lol. ok I don't see it but ok :)
The mouth thing is for a speaker.
Feel free to modify!

I think it's because it's black and a similar shape. If it was the same grey/white, I don't think people would notice. Maybe even a red or other colour would make a difference too. Like I said though, I do love the cylonesque feel.

Hmm.... i don't know, but this robot looks like a bad guy from Austria ~70 years back... you know who i mean.... In your position, I would change the design ;-)

I wish someone would invent cheap robotic servos

thank you ginge i am follow your blog now very nice
have you do some videos about your robot?

hello hector you have a nice projet so why you don't do it a blog or website like gael with inmoov
i like you robot so have you some news of progress
i know you need more time?
are you french hector?

I have a blog: http://openbiped.orghttp://openbiped.org

More updates are on there.

I am from the UK, and I am developing this independantly from gael.

l like this! when release other parts?

Nice try! i cant wait for you to finish it so i can dl it complete.
BTW, can you wait to give us the parts in one zip file when the robot will be complete, instead of referring to other links with the separate parts in separate pages???????????

Sure that is a good idea. As MTO says below, I have a way to go yet :) the reason,y many
Inks is that thingiverse doesn't have a concept of assemblies, so I have to post each assembly as a different thing... Who wants 300 stl files on one design? Thanks

MTO - in reply to Cos

Someone could make a derivative with all the pieces in one place: a so-called "production files" colleciton. Anyhow, he's still got a ways to go...

Are you trying to make him look like a human killing Cylon?

Also is the square "eye" block in the rendering going to be a Kinect?

I would say that it looks nothing like a Cylon, but having just googled it, I see the resemblance. I should probably watch that series at some point :) yes that is for akinect
