I've just printed this in PLA. I can feel it needing a bit more throttle. I can bump into things now and the quadcopter just bounces back. Thanks for sharing!

I would love to see a clip-together version. I have the printrbot lc and my print area is only 118x 140, so the prop guard is just a bit too big. If you already made a model of it, i would love to see it, if not, I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing, I'm not a beginner but I know who I can give this to :-)

Instructions

I used 0.2 mm layer height and 0.1 infill although the layer height shouldn't mater to much.

I printed in black abs to match my quad but any colour will do.

The part weighs in at around 4 grams when printed in ABS. I don't know how much this would change with PLA.

I have found the battery life to be slightly shorter (as expected) but its worth it for the added protection from flying into things whilst learning.

This part could be made thinner to decrease weight but this will also make it weaker, I have not had time to experiment yet.

FITTING: this part can be put on and taken off without removing the blades. first hook around all motors (turn the props so that they fit through if needed) then push the centre clips so that they press against the bottom of the body.
