Fan Duct V3 for PLA. This is a version with a J-Head cooling port.

Latest upload has a longer duct and outflow ports that are directed more downward to avoid excessive extruder cooling.

Is anyone else having trouble with the PLA thick version and clearance of the carriage? With the provided mount it isn't possible to fold the fan under into it's proper position. The angle from fan mount to duct is less sharp than the original non-thick versions.

I printed it right now, and unfortunatly I have the same problem.
I hope that will be possible to change the mount instead of reprinting all the duct!

I am trying to understand what is different in your configurations. We did reduce the angle to move the PLA cooling port closer to the J-Head. Fan Duct V3 for PLA

Can someone tell me which version of Prusa or MendelMax x-carriage this duct matches with.

Looking at my X Carriage, it is the version on GitHub (https://github.com/prusajr/PrusaMendel/)https://github.com/prusajr/Pru... and NextDayReprap, http://www.nextdayreprap.co.uk/reprap-downloads/http://www.nextdayreprap.co.uk...

But the mounting hole positions are not the same as are required for this duct and I can't find a version of X-Carriage that matches with this :-(

SDP bearing mount for Y-axis

I am getting spaces between the layers when printing at 10 or even 30% infill. Should it be 100%?

I have forced extrusion width for walls to higher value than default to avoid these spaces (I am not sure now if I have used slic3r or cura).

We use 50% and .3 layers - Brad

Brad, thanks for the pla cooling version...as soon as I get some ABS, I will print this up.

I just looked at the clearance between the bushings, it might be way easier to move the extruder mounting holes to be centered.

Could you make a version where the duct ends up a little bit (about 4mm) to the left ? The v4 and v5 extruders are off-center with respect to the mounting holes, resulting in uneven cooling.

I am becoming quite a fan. I keep printing your upgrades. I was planning to "finish" my printer build this month, but you keep coming up with great stuff. XD

I seems that V1-V5 extruders have inherited an offset from the original TrinityLabs Micro Extruder design. I changed a lot and now it is time to center the J-Head on the extruder body. Thanks for helping me come to my senses.
