You will require a mill to manufacture this, i'm currently waiting for mine to be made at the uni's CNC mill. - will post a update when complete!

to build this simply order a 6mm thick aluminum plate (250 x 250mm is what i got) and mill out the design on a standard or CNC mill.
as it goes for fixing the PCB to the slot im hoping for a tight fit and i shall possibly use some kapton or ceramic tape if needed. if this is a no-go i have a few other solutions

1) print out some "swivel brackets" (like the ones on picture frames)
2) use 10mm plate and drill and tap the 4 holes on the plate inline with the PCB corner holes and use screws

ill post a update soon with the finish product and some photo's and how i attached the PCB plate.

Just a thought: you might want to dig a small deeper hole where the HBP's connectors and leds are located.

I'm very curious about the end result.
I also want to build one in my UM.

sweet, it should be done by the end of next week, so check back then for updated files and progress!

Any progress so far?

I'll certainly do!!

Still looking in Holland for a company that can manufacture the aluminium plate....
