why doesnt it have the measurements?

Could you mount the Magnetic Linear Encoder on this?

I was planning on pasting a vernier scale on the side. The 'Magnetic Linear Encoder' might be a little wide. Another option would be a capacitive linear encoder. If there is interest I can rebuild this parametrically in OpenSCAD format.

The vernier scale is a good idea.

Anyone up to doing a pdf? (Because they are easiest to print to scale cross-platform.)

What was this printed on? Beautiful! (ENVY)

Printed on a Stratasys Prodigy Plus with support disabled. I tried to design it to be printable on a MakerBot/RepRap if you can achieve a 45 degree self support angle.

These are /gorgeous/ calipers. Very nice.
