Description

This is my design for mounting a Dremel Flex Shaft to Mendel RepRap!
I plan to mill pcbs with it (if possible) and/or make things out of wood.

I will upload the source files (inventor and other useful formats) when I am finished testing this design.

Basically the upper mount goes on the top of the upper carriage and the lower mount goes on the bottom of the lower carriage

P.S

You will need the upper and lower carriage (stls) of mendel as well.
These are in the reprap svn.

1) You need to grab the full shaft instead of only 4 points. That's not stable enough.

2) I've given up on milling because of dust (particularly copper dust) getting into the non-enclosed stepper motors, non-enclosed bearings and the non-enclosed electronics.
Are you sure your Mendel can handle LARGE amounth of FINE dust?
