Print Thing TagSummary
Keychain to hold a Cherry MX mechanical keyboard switch as a keychain. Made in Autodesk Inventor.
Instructions
Parts required:
- One of mxKeychain.stl
- A ring or string
- One Cherry MX keyswitch for plate mounting. (Mfr. Part # ends with 'N') Digikey has some
- A Cherry MX Keycap
Directions:
- Print with the large flat side on bottom. I used 100µm resolution on a Makerbot Replicator 2.
- Cut off the leads of your Cherry MX switch.
- Push the switch in. It's square; it doesn't matter which way you push it in. The fit is VERY snug, so it should fit in without any glue, but the hole for the post may require some carving out on the inside edge.
- Add your keycap of choice and a ring or string, and attach it to your keys.

If anyone needs cherry mx black keyswtches (2 wire and 4 wire versions) message me. I'm in USA
Hello, when I import the STL to the MakerBot software it ask me if I wan't to keep size or rescale object.
Because the software think the object seem small, but when I do resize it it's to big and when I keep the size it's to small.
Any idea?
I have a MakerBot also. What I did was say "Keep Size," then I changed the scale in the "Scale to:" box to 1000.00%
