It's always the knight.

The overhang on the knight makes it unprintable without supports. Think you could add a little block underneath it to smooth the transition?

3/27/2013: updated knight and added set-plated to print the whole set at once

set-plated.stl has a 4x4 inch footprint and should print just fine on an 8x8 bed. If your axis is skipping steps and ruining the build, then lower the travel speed to around 60. Definitely use support material if you don't want the knight to come out a goopy mess.

Alternatively, use OpenSCAD to remix the pieces and then print. If you want to print without support material then you can adjust the tilt of the knight's head in knight.scad.

Use config.scad to control size etc. Individual pieces have more settings with which you can muck about if you wish.
