Ha this is what 3d printing is all about. In one evening I printed tested two versions of this broken part. I still had that horrible feeling that I would have to go out and buy a new dishwasher. But the v2 I posted here is the one I use today. Fit like a factory part!

The part in the picture above was v1 and was printed in the wrong layer orientation. The v2 is much stronger because of the grain of the plastic.

Fluxcapacitor, I just printed this in PETG to replace the handle in my Amana dishwasher ( Amana makes the Maytag part ) ... and it fit perfectly. Thank you very much for designing a brilliant replacement part.

I just wanted to say "thank you" for posting this. Even though it didnt fit my particular dish washer, it was able to tweak it to fit. the hing parts fit, but the handle was a bit too big. Either way, you saved me some time modeling the handle from scratch. My hard drive failed this past week, so I dont have my version of it. But I will post it as a remix of your project as soon as I have the chance to modify it again.

One of the best tools you can have when 3d printing is a set of digital clippers. Just measure all the dimensions and transfer them into your favourite 3d modelling package.

I am a complete newby to 3D printing but I believe this is definitely the future.
I have one specific question for the broken dishwasher part how did you obtain the 3D drawing or did you scan all the broken parts?
