Until shampoo bottles start getting smaller instead of bigger, picking them up in the shower may remain difficult. This is especially true when they are surrounded by other bottles; leaving only the cap available for grabbing. To offer more shampoo bottle control, I unveil the Bottle Throttle.
I thought of this thing immediately subsequent to dropping a large shampoo bottle on my toes while in the shower. The ensuing spike of pain allowed for clarity of thought and the Bottle Throttle was born. The current SketchUp model is designed for a 28mm diameter male threaded bottle opening and a 31mm diameter female threaded bottle cap.
Resize in SketchUp as needed.
Print. Leave the thing a bit rough to allow for additional grip. If your prints are very smooth on all sides, I recommend roughing up the surface a bit with some sandpaper.
Insert between bottle opening and cap, leaving grips facing up.
- Enjoy better shampoo bottle control.
Happy Printing. ~GearsOfWow
