Ball and Socket Mount by Gyrobot Mar 30, 2013

Description

I made this for a friends telescope set-up to enable him to attach little mirrors and adjust their angle.

Could also be used to mount a variety of components, cameras, speakers, etc.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
They are just optional mounting holes.

To stiffen up the connection/ reprint the socket smaller or the ball bigger, or increase your flow rate to achieve a tighter fit.
Do the holes in the center of the ball or cup allow you to do something extra to lock it in place? It's a webcam that I'm mounting with it that is just slightly too heavy and it doesn't keep it in position.

Instructions

I designed this to be clipped together but still stiff when connected. However, you may want to scale one of the parts up or down to suit your printer calibration.

Can be printed without support but I suggest a high infill to increase strength in the fingers and waist of the ball.

You can attach through the centre hole or either of the corner holes.
