Removable side and front panels for the Makerbot Replicator.
Lexan panels are cut from 1/4" nominal lexan. Actual thickness is ~.210"-.215". Panel dimensions are:
Sides: 8 13/16" x 8 3/8"
Front: 15" x 8 3/8"
All three panels have 1 1/4" x 45 degree chamfers on the top corners.

The side panels use two clips on the bottom and a rotating clip at the top. These don't come off much, so the rotating clip is adequate. The front panel, which is removed often, gets the front panel knob. The bottom clips are mounted using #6-32 machine screws. For the knob I used a #8-32 machine screw, but a # 10 could be used as well. A flat head machine screw is installed on the edge of panel opening. The pocket on the back of the know is sized to accept a rare earth magnet from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-rare-earth-magnets-67488.html
I used epoxy to glue the magnet in place.
