That would be great. Thanks and, please, let us know.

I finally got around to printing this. i tweaked it after zgbot made some suggestions however it was still lose i picked up a set of calipers so i should be able to take more accurate measurements. Ill post the revised files after i make some tweeks.

So, has anyone gotten this to work? I don't own a 3d printer, but would definitely introduce myself to the local hackerspace to make this.

i can print another one tonight

my print might be messed up, it looks a little warped like it may have peeled up from the platform. dont have time to print it again for a few days, your file might be ok.

very cool, i will print one out in a few min and try it out. you might want to recess into the camera to get a wide angle pinhole. when you use extension tubes with one of these that controls the focal length. the more extension tubes you stack up the more telephoto it is. i have a 12mm, 24mm and 30mm i think combine them or use individually to make a huge range on focal lengths

the one for the canon is super wide.

i will get a photo up as soon as one is printed.
thanks!

thanks zgbot,

according to the program that i used to calculate the lens trying moving the hole back 9mm (max before it will hit the mirror) would only increase the viewing angle by 6 degrees hardly worth redesigning and how much harder it would be to place the foil/aluminum can(supposedly works better).

How
did the lens work out was planing on printing it today but might start printing a Mendle-prusa. should i print the lens or dose it need redesigning? any other suggestions since you have a copy in your hands.
Thanks Mike

Great idea! I'll look back in a day or so. If it works, I'll print one too. Presently waiting for black plastic to arrive. The red I have wouldn't look fitting on a nice Nikon SLR :-D
