Wrote a whole desription and intrustions and it was all deleted so I'll make this quick until I have time to post more info. This is a basic mesh with clean geometry. Meaning it has four sided face and no triangles so you can take it into program like Maya and/or Mudbox and customise it.

You might need to scale up in length by a mm or two

To customise:

Maya: The file should import/load into Maya butdepending on what version you might have to load the obj importer into the Plug In Manager. To do this go to Window/settingsandprefs/pluginmanager and make sure both boxes are checked for objExport.bundle.

Mudbox: obj files open right up.

To print:

ReplicatorG: obj files open right up.

Posted. Let me know if works or not but I would check out MeshLab (its free).

I use AutoCad for all my designs. What program produces .obj & .mtl? AutoCad can only import .dwg and .dwx. If your program can export in .dwg, can you upload you design in that format?

obj is a pretty standard format for 3d animation software. I dont know what program uses mtl but it automatically exports out from Imesh when I convert say a obj to stl. So, I thought I would include it. With MeshLab I can export to these file types: .3ds .ply .stl .obj .off .wrl .dxf .dae .ctm .xyz .gtz .json .m .u3d .idtf .x3d. Hopefully you can use one of those but I will keep my eye open for and of conversion software that might.
