Description

***No working model yet****
This is my next project. I am looking for some help. If you are interested let me know. I can use help with existing models, file formats, dimensions, etc.
My goal is to create a full size model that can be printed in parts and glued together.

I agree. It seems like warping the bottom is a bit too much.

I have built a wire frame helmet in autocad. I don't have any experience with mesh modeling. I have always worked with solids. It is saved as a .dwg but I can export it to nearly any file format. Is anyone experienced with meshing from wire frame?

I need a godel of a life size bust. Not a scaled one. Something that I can use to get the proportions correct.

The STL (magneto helmet) file was found on Thingyverse and could be a good starting place. I use Autocad for all my designs and can only work with .dwg
Can anyone convert this into a solid and export it as .dwg?

There are a couple of Corinthian helmets on blendswap. Might take a look at those.

You might find something in the sketchup 3d warehouse and convert it to a model format you can work with. Like this one. http://sketchup.google.com/3dw...

Any chance you have a solid file format of your helmet?

I'll try and dig it up for you.

You are probably better off starting from scratch rather than modifying the magneto helmet.
