Summary

Simple iPad stand to prop up your iPad, iPad mini or other tablet.

I am always working on new stuff to print. If you interested in being the first to know when I release something new, then check out http://arsenalproducts.wordpress.com/be-the-first-to-know. 3D printing goodness!

Instructions

Print out each side and assemble. You will need a single 1/8" diameter x 1" long dowel pin. You can buy these at McMaster.com. I recommend part number 90145A475.

I printed this on a MakerBot Replicator 2 and it did not print the holes well. I cleaned them up with a 1/8" drill bit to ease assembly.

Enjoy!

You can see some other projects I've worked on at arsenalproducts.com or my blog at aresnalproducts.com/blog.

Thanks for looking!

You in theory can use 3mm filament, too

I like this design a lot, really nice, low profile. We use a case so there was no way it would fit, so I just tweaked the model by extending the front "jaws" by 8mm, works great for me.

Thanks for the design!

Thanks cswaim.
This is a nice compact stand when folded away.

One part is upside down. Needs to be flipped first.

Most slicer software has a way to rotate parts. I noticed this same thing, so I rotated the part before I printed it. I use Repetier-Host Mac with Slic3r, but also know that Cura has this rotate feature as well.

AWESOME!!! I don't have to pay $5 at bed bath and beyond for one!!!
