Dust cover for Mantis 30
Description
This is version 2 of the Dustcover for the Mantis-30 router (thing:6115). As this router normally uses a dremel/rotary tool it is quite loud and can produce quite a lot of dust. This cover keeps both inside the box.
Instructions
Make the sides out of 12mm (ply)wood (I used birch ply because it looks good, but any wood will do). The front is drawn for 3mm acrylic, but you could use any clear material that you have on hand, but YMMV.
The dxf or 3dm file is laid out with different layers. The names of the layers hold the instructions how to cut it out. We are a bit lacking with software to generate 2.5D gcode, so I manually laid out the toolpaths for a 3mm drill and a 5mm endmill. Convert these to gcode, or use the 'real size' layers if you wish to use a different size bit.
The window can be cut with the router, but a laser gives shinier results and allows for nice engravings. Please brand it with Mantis-30 if you do?
