35mm to 120 Film Canister Adaptor by mattthegamer463 Apr 15, 2013

Adapts 35mm film canisters for use in 120 film cameras. Untested as of yet but the dimensions are fine, results will vary based on what camera you use it in. To test if you camera is worthy, simply see if you can close it with a 35mm canister in the middle of the film spot.

STL's would be handy. Great design!

Definitely not I'm afraid. As we know, 35mm film is 35mm wide, two strips, even without the canister, would equal 70mm. 6x6 for a Hasselblad is obviously 6cm by 6cm and with a few spare millimeters for the ends of the spool you've got maybe 64mm of space there. I have seen that kind of thing done with large format cameras though.

Interesting. I'll have to carefully try this in one of my old Hassy backs. Think it would fit 2 side by side? Might get a full frame spread across two rolls that way.

Print out the Top and Bottom pieces, stick into the respective ends of the film canister, insert in camera along with a normal 120 take-up spool.

Cool. What cameras have you tested this in?

None yet as my only suitable 120 camera has film in it right now but the measurements are correct and it should fit in most without trouble. It can be tested by inserting a 35mm canister in the 120 film area and seeing if you can close the door of the camera properly. The diameter of the 120 spool and the 35mm can are nearly the same so thats why this can work.
