Summary

This clip accommodates a 5mm LED and a CR2032 battery to power it. The idea is that you can clip this to a spiral bound notebook or dream journal to have a light source at hand.

You can switch the LED on and off by applying pressure to the top LED wire.

Instructions

Insert the 5mm LED so that it faces the page of your notebook. Bend the legs horizontally toward the battery holder. Insert your battery and test polarity.

Planned improvements:

  • use less plastic
  • make a larger hole for seating the LED
  • make a larger and deeper battery slot
  • add a plastic tab to hold the battery in place

Hope to have the new design shortly.

You'll probably want to print this on its side. I hope to test it on a makerbot tomorrow.
