Summary

This has now exceeded it's shelf life and will not be available again until next year

I managed to find a supplier of Tartan ABS in China.
The supplier says that they are also able to manufacture spotted and striped versions, but only in 3mm. (apparently the spots are too big to fit on the 1.75 mm and the stripes slide off)

I'm assured that the PLA versions will follow and an intriguing Sky-blue Pink that I can't wait to see.

I'm already imagining all the things I can make: Holes for rivets, Sky hooks, Long weights, Left handed screwdrivers, Sharp string, the list is endless...

Update:
Shipping will start on the 31st of April.

Instructions

Place tongue firmly in cheek, and smile.

For fishing? No. This isn't the material you use to make a net man. Use fishing line. Also, an oversight, do you have any idea how bad our plastic problem is right now? We have literall islands of plastic, rotating out there. And you want to use a brittle PLA / ABS net? Please don't take up engineering.... You use high temp, high strength mateiral for that... PET isn't even enough, you really need Nylon or polycarbonate nets.... Gotta burry your head in a book to understand the industry man.

You need to read this properly, it is an April fools joke! There is no such thing as Tartan ABS.

3D print me a kilt, dammit!

Looks like this was manufactured somewhere in the Scottish Empire. I love the fun people can have with Gimp. :-)

Today Dimension Printing also introduced a metric adjustable wrench sample part.

sigh Tartan comes from Europe, so it's metric. I don't have a metric machine, so I'll have to wait until this becomes available in plaid.

And here you can get a colour to paint all the other things with a nice surface ;) http://shop.etel-tuning.de/product.php?id_product=38http://shop.etel-tuning.de/pro...

Argh, I hate when the stripes slide off, they get all over everything. I used to have a white cat, now he's a zebra.

Ad I use to have a zebra, but now its a white cat. :/

That's right, you're hours ahead of us Yanks!

+1 on your April Foolery! :)

THERE'S A TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! ;)

very funny :D
