This eiffel tower was printed for the owner of a local hardware store (http://www.bevellshardware.com/) who builds a tremendous model train set in his store for Christmas every year. In a town of 3500 people, he brings in over 40000 people to see his train set. Its truly an amazing site.
I used the five part Eiffel Tower model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:49131)
for the tower, but the very tip of the tower as not printing well. So I decided to slice the top, and print it separately.
I wanted to make it extra special for the hardware store owner, so I added an elevator using (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:52575).
I took the above file and modified it to hold a BlinkM in the top using
(http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25625) as the base for my BlinkM. Then I hung the elevator so the windows peak through the middle section of the Eiffel Tower.
Print the provided Eiffel Tower Tip if needed.
Print the provided Elevator
Print the BlinkM Holder
Drill hold in top of middle section of Eiffel tower and insert a small hook.
Add a wire or string to the top of the elevator with a spring ring or some other hooking device.
Place BlinkM with BlinkM holder in the elevator and turn while pushing slightly until it friction fits into the top of the elevator.
Hang the elevator with installed BlinkM from the hook in the Eiffel Tower.
