Instructions

I got lucky in an auction for an used/slightly broken Waistlevel-Viewfinder, so I went to replace the fake-leather of the viewfinder with real leather, like I already did with my 500 EL/M body.
So this thing is basically an extension of my Body-leather template, therefore the rest of the description and instructions are just copied from my other project.

I measured the whole thing using a simple ruler and a lot of guesswork and recreated the dimensions and shapes in Inkscape.
After lots of test-prints on paper, this is as close as I could get to the real measures of the viewfinder. The parts were then lasercut from leather and glued onto the viewfinder using All-Purpose-glue(UHU).

Some parts like the front still need improvement, I invite you to adjust the parts as needed for your camera - drop me a line if you found improvements or major faults, so I can improve it further.

BTW: When lasercutting thin leather, I'd recommend taping it to a piece of MDF using double-sided tape, so it wont curl, shrink, or move to much during cutting(because of ventilation/heat).
Oh, and open the windows, burning leather stinks.
