Motor Mounts for HK X900 Tricopter (+ generic) by phiero Apr 22, 2013

Description

The Hobbyking X900 Tricopter is a pretty good frame, it's a shame that the motor mounts are such poor quality that they pretty much always break if you put any sizable load on them (larger motors, or a minor crash).

These are replacement motor mounts for the HK900 Tricopter. I first built only the back mount, and considering it worked so well, replaced them all.

Sorry for the late response guys, but I returned my Afinia so haven't had access to a 3D printer to make corrections and test them. Will update this the moment I get my Solidoodle 3!

Posted a remix of your Thing, My Friend seems to be testing how quickly he can break them!!! Already broke the rear mount.

Any chance of getting the source file too? I did find I had to scale the parts by 25.4. I am guessing the parts are in English, not Metric?

Prints perfectly on my Up / Afinia printer, but should work nearly anywhere. I print these with a 0.20 mm resolution.

Hey, great to see these out there, a friend broke a motor mount right after getting the thing flying. Was going to print out a few spares for him, but when I load up the .stl file in Repetier, it seems to be scaled wrong. The part is tiny!!! Can you help?
