Simple Morse Paddle for CW by justjobe Apr 23, 2013

Description

Hi Guys!
This is my first ever upload to the Thingiverse. Its a little morse code paddle I made awhile back for a simple kit used to demo and practice CW.

It has hollowed out paths for you to run your wires internally and will require you to find 3 suitable screws to use as the ground and dit/dah contacts.

Hope it comes in handy for at least someone out there :)

Edit(added):

Also note for the holes, there is a placeholder you will need to pull out to get a clean hole all the way to the screw points...use a proper plier as teeth sometimes cuts it off and you will have trouble getting a grip on the rest of it. >_<
It can also be attached to any rig and used as a regular morse paddle if you need one in a hurry !

Cheers and happy fabbing!!!

LOL ok... no problem. I got myself set up with an oscillator that will work with my iambic so I should be good to go for now... :)

Hey mate! sorry been away. Sure i think i can just upload one without the placeholders in the holes, but im not sure how well they will print without support.

Hello,

You wouldn't happen to have a model of this without the wires modeled in it, would you? My print messed up last night, but I noticed that the modeled wires are being held in there by supports... it may be better if they just weren't in there at all. Thanks!

Sounds good, going to give one a shot tonight or tomorrow! Trying to learn code and have an oscillator that won't work with the iambic I have, so this should work perfect!

Hi guys, Thanks for the comments. Yes, definitely printing with support is needed.

:) Cheers!

Looks like the STL is one solid piece... is that supposed to be one piece? Assuming it needs to be printed with supports?

That's some crazy overhand on the paddle arms.
