Very cool project, and I'm happy to see your interest! I've added the strut .scad file here, and you can find the gopro mount .scad on its own page, via Thing Info --> Remixed From.
If you're going to drive it hard, you'll want to invest in superglue. You might even want to just paint it with that initially, or look up some acetone techniques.

Hi. I have a Traxxas Stampede also and I am going to install an OpenPilot Revo/GPSv9 and work on ground path tracking. I would also like to install a fpv setup (PZ0420 and vtx). I like the rails in this design and want to design a new alternative platform.
Would you mind uploading these additional files from the below include? I.e. the rails in particular? include

Designed in OpenSCAD.
Print one platform (40% infill) and two struts (20% infill, support). Cut out hood from Traxxas body, leaving enough to attach codder pins. Use (possibly ghetto paper clip) codder pins to hold struts onto platform, then insert the whole assembly between body support standoffs.

pretty sure not, sorry. the gopro mount is fitted to within 1mm of the hero3 waterproof case. if you're interested, I can provide the OpenSCAD files. the gopro mount is its own file, imported by the traxxas platform, and probably wouldn't require much tweaking to make it work. I've got the 'rugged gopro mount' uploaded elsewhere on thingiverse if you want to see better what I mean.
That would be awesome. I'd love to use this mount on my Stampede 4x4 with my Hero2
There, I've uploaded the .scad file for the platform. You can get the .scad file for the "ruggedized gopro mount" from that model's page, then maybe create a derivative of each of these two models that works for Hero2's?
