GWS Pico Tiger Moth Cowling by sharv999 Apr 23, 2013

Description

This Thing is a replacement for the original fragile engine cowling that comes with the GWS Pico Tiger Moth. Even at 0.5 mm thick the ABS shell is surprisingly strong. It was very simple to model in OpenSCAD using two conical cylinders and the hull command.

Yeah it's one of my favourite models - lots of fun to fly around the local park (see YouTube clip) ...

Cool, I've got that model.

Instructions

Printed on a Replicator 1 Dual with RepG039-Sailfish at 80/160 mm/s, 10% infill, no raft. By printing directly onto the HBP the front of the cowling is surprisingly flat and smooth. Feel free to hack the OpenSCAD to suit your particular aircraft.
