Patrick, love the design, just gave it a try, got errors on each layer (classic "convert to path" type error) but it was a good first attempt. I'll also look into re-rendering the text using the Hershey Text extension, as it looks like it isn't currently using that... Besides all that, great design and a good start on an awesome Tardis!
The Hershey Text doesn't quite look like the text on the Tardis, which is why I just converted the text objects to paths. Some of the smaller text was just hand drawn paths since it would be too small to read anyways. The convert to path errors aren't a big deal since they don't interfere with the plotting. If I were to update the file I would make all of the blue hatching one long continuous path to speed up the plotting.
Could you do a clearer pic of it? And what pen(s) did you use? Any eggbot mods to improve precision? From what you can see it looks great.
I already gave the egg away, so a clearer pic may not be possible. There is a blog post about it here with some video that may help you http://pumpingstationone.org/2... . I used ultra fine tipped Sharpie markers. The eggbot is stock, but I do have some brass bushings I could put in to replace the looser plastic ones.
