Hook for hanging plant.
Description
Note that when the hook is hanging down the bottom part of the hole is curved to better fit the hook of the plant hanger.
Design was done in Sketchup. Simple design but very useful thing.
It is probably thicker and thus more sturdy than needed, but overkill doesn't hurt.
The image is sideways because thingiverse wants all images to be in landscape orientation.
Instructions
I added a hook2 version here with a slightly steeper angle.
Depending on the angle of the roof you want to use either hook or hook2.

That's a nice, simple and useful thing.
Regarding portrait images, I never noticed any limitation and have successfully uploaded them. Is it a policy rather than a practical limitation? I know it says '1024x768' on the upload section, but didn't think it meant all images HAVE to be this exact size - most of mine aren't. It just crops them for the preview; when you click on them it shows them in the original format.
I just noticed your original image (the one you uploaded) is 2816px
à 1864px. Before uploading, I scale all my pictures down in Preview (on Mac OS X, but there's plenty of other apps on all platforms that can do this) so my uploaded image is only 911px à 1215px. So maybe there is a height limit if it isn't accepting your portrait images?

creative solution. When you create something like this - how much do you end up spending to make one? Just wondering what the recurring costs are
As with most pieces the cost is mainly the plastic and electricity. All together it's a few cents.
