V4 increased the width of the arms to prevent cracking when inserting the gauge. Also uploaded Inventor Part file for community modifications. Added an STL with multiple mounting points.

Improved the design to maximize stability and provide a better platform for the dial gauge. Added connections on the side for attaching tools giving maximum flexibility.

The one piece clips onto the heat sinks of the 2x and provides a platform for other tools to be attached to. It's designed specifically to be left on the printer and it doesn't interfere with normal printing or leveling.

Any attachments just need a notch so they can slide on and off the front end. I've included one attachment which is a holder for a dial gauge for leveling. I would encourage anyone to come up with additional useful attachments.

Hi downloaded it. You're showing two different designs on the pictures. One that holds the gauge higher so that the mounting ear of the gauge is above the fan clip. But when i download i only get the one with the gauge mounted at the lower pos, which doesn't work on the sides of the fan clip

I believe I was having problems with the middle mount version but if you would like to give it a try I can put the stl back up!

Hi, what type of dial gauge do you have for this? I'm in the need for one and might give this a try q:O)

This is the gauge. It's been very reliable for me. They also have a digital one that should fit although I can't confirm that.

I would also recommend this gauge holder. When I'm just doing spot checks it's convenient. It's not very stable though so it takes some getting used to.
