For my first MakerBot project I made a white flower.
I used Inventor for this project. To create the design I made a circle with a diameter of 0.25 in. in the center of the plane. Then I created an ellipse touching the top of the circle. I used the circular pattern tool to create the rest of the petals. Next, I extruded the flower and saved the file as a .ipt and .stl. I saved the STL file to my flash drive and plugged it into the computer for the Thing-O-Matic. While the software generated the G Code, I changed the color of the plastic to white and heated up the platform and extruder. The print took about 25 minutes.
