Description

Motorised mount for cheap china made slider.

Parts used.
1. Cheap sevenoaks slider. sevenoak.biz/company/product-dis.asp?id=959
2. NEMA 17 stepper motor.
3. 2GT belt + 608zz bearing for idler.
4. Home switch.
5. MSP430 launch Pad and easy driver for control.

This is the first prototype mde over the weekend, there is a lot of room for improvement and it is constantly in progress.

I am using Replicator 1, got it 2 week before Replicator 2 was launched. haha.

Code is under development, dont think it will be ready anytime soon, I am using MSP430 LaunchPad as controller instead of Arduino as I have a few of them lying around and there are cheap. You will also need a Stepper driver, I am using Easy-driver, you can get them from spark-fun. I am afraid you might need to hack some controller together now on your own. Stop motion animation will be fun, let me know if you need any help.

is there anywhere i can download the programming code or anything like that as i've never used arduino or likewise but would like to use similar for my 3D stop motion animation!
