Extended guide that helps the filament through the rear panel and clear of the Z rods and screws.

UPDATE: File has been printed and modified to fit. Cutaways have been added to clear hose clamps and the rear funnel made smaller to fit through the hole in the Solidoodle.

Print with high infill % for strength.

The two clips for the z rods will be very tight, maybe too tight depending on your calibration.

Dimensions in mm.

Solidoodle Extended Filament Guide - Remixed

I printed one and it snapped on, but it was a very tight fit. Tight enough that I was uncomfortable with it. I took the design and remixed it slightly to use magnets to hold it onto the rods, extended the feeder through the hole further, and also changed the hole diameter so it would fit a PTFE tube to protect the filament even further.

Will upload when I get the chance.

Will this just snap on or do i need take it apart to get it to fix i snapped my first one off at the middle of the C where it fits on the rod first time im assuming i need 100% infill to keep it from breaking too?

Has anyone had an issue with this print? For example during the last layer before its about to finish, the extruder catches the lip of the print and drags it as the print completes when the all the axis go to home...
Any input would be greatly appreciated... I'm using repetier v0.85b /slic3r v0.9.9

It fits my Solidoodle like a glove. Thank you, lawsy!

if you extended the tube out the back 25mm or so it would help alot with filament jumping off the spool

I took this part and snapped it to the top of my case instead of into the hole in the back.
