Being a big fan of RC cars, OpenSCAD and NinjaFlex I decided to develop this parametric RC car tyre. With the default parameters it fits the Daniel Noree (barspin) 3D printed OpenRC Truggy wheel, but I also tweaked it to fit a number of different sized wheels, including a 3D printed Kyosho Mini Z wheels I also designed.

This parametric OpenRC Truggy tyre was designed and 3D printed by myself. The one you can see in the picture fitted to Daniel Norees OpenRC Truggy wheel was printed using the following:
Material: Black NinjaFlex
Layer: 0.3 mm
Temp: 235 degrees
Speed: 30 mm/s
I experimented with a number of settings but when using these it printed really well and seems quite rugged too. Due to the fact that you need to print slowly with NinjaFlex it took about 8 hours to print one tyre.
The dimensions were perfect for the Truggy wheel but as NinjaFlex doesn't stretch much I had to use washing up liquid to help it onto the wheel rim. A final dip into warm water (about 50 degrees) helped soften the tyre and complete the fitting.
Feel free to experiment with this tyre and if it proves popular I plan to make ongoing improvements based on your feedback.
