Summary

X-Wing Fighter made in 3dsmax. I was making a wall decoration so I cut the end of the x-wing off. If you want me to add the back end I can. This was printed on a makerbot Replicator 2 at .15mm and painted with Testors paints and an airbrush kit.

Instructions

The x-wing printed in the images provided was printed using .15mm layer height and sliced on high settings in makerware using skeinforge in green PLA. We then primed the model and painted it with an airbrush kit, masked it off to add secondary details. Used a loofa sponge to add damage to the body.

Ok, I added the full model. You will need to make cuts to it in netfabb or your 3d/cad program. The whole model will not fit on the Rep 2's Build area. Netfabb basic is free and can be downloaded. You can use that software to slice the model up to fit on the build area of your printers.

can you post the back end?, you can upload it separately so we can print it on a side and glue it later.

Nice paint btw!

Yes I'll upload the back end later today when I get home. If you plan to print the whole thing, you might want to wait for me to upload the other file. It will be the entire ship with no cuts. I'm not exactly sure the exact point I cut this model and I just discarded the back end from that revision so I don't want to make it too large or too small. I'll put the whole ship up and you can cut it up to fit on your build plate in Netfabb.

perfect!, thanks!

I'm sorry it's taking so long to get the rest of the body up, I had to go to oral surgery and was out of it all day, now I'm falling asleep at the keyboard. I'll get this up tomorrow.
